Welcome to Word 2007!

Hi, I am Kate, and I will be your instructor for this class. My name is Kate and I will be your instructor for this class. I have a BS in Math and Secondary Education and 20 years experience in computers. I am a Microsoft Certified Trainer and Office Master Instructor. I teach math and have taught GED for Wake Tech.

Before you get started, let's go over a few important things:

1. Make sure your name is correct for your certificate. I know you saw this during registration, but we can not change the name on your certificate once you have started the class. So make sure the name below is EXACTLY what you want to appear on your certificate when you are finished with the class.

Name on Certificate:

2. Go through all of the lessons carefully. Each lesson becomes available as the previous one is completed. You can go slowly and submit the assignment on your due date, or move on more quickly by reading all the lessons and submitting your assignment before the due date. Either way, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get through all the lessons so you can submit your assignment by the due date.

3. Assignments are due each week based on your registration date. The system will automatically drop you from the class if assignments are not submitted on time. I have no control over this and can not grant you an extension. Please understand that while this may seem harsh, we have a very high demand for our classes. Don’t worry – A week should be plenty of time to get your assignment submitted; and if you do get dropped, you can sign up again as soon as seats become available. A countdown timer lets you know your due date is getting close.

Here are your due dates. You must complete ALL of these things by the dates listed to earn your certificate and CEUs:

Assignment 1: May 11, 2009
Assignment 2: May 18, 2009
Assignment 3: May 25, 2009
Class Survey: June 01, 2009

4. I will be here to support you through our own private messaging center. This is where we will communicate if you have questions.

If you want more information about the class and how it works, check out our
